THE GERUND (Герундій)

Герундій (Gerund) – це безособова форма cлова з закінченням -ing,

В українській мові герундій - це іменники, що утворилися від дієслів (reading - читання)

Герундій вживається після дієслів, які вказують на чиїсь уподобання.

Часто після дієслів:

to love (любити),

to like (подобатися),

to enjoy (насолоджуватися),

to prefer (віддавати перевагу),

to dislike (не любити),

to hate (ненавидіти)

FOR EXAMPLE:

I like reading. - …..

I love dancing. - …..

I dislike doing tests. - …..

I`d like to share my experience of having an e-mail friend. I was bad at English and I wasn`t very good at Computer Studies. My English teacher gave me a good piece of advice to use the Internet and make an e-mail friend. I found the “E-mail Friends` Club” website and chose the name of my future friend. It was Helen from Switzerland. We started sending e-mails to each other. We`re good friends now. My English is too much better. I`m very good at using the computer now, too. Here are some useful tips on how to write e-mail letters.
